The first of its kind in Orange County, CHOC’s Mental Health Inpatient Center (MHIC) features 18 private patient rooms for children ages 3 to 17; outdoor grounds for play and therapeutic activities; and other amenities that provide a secure and healing environment. Joining CHOC’s Mental Health Initiative before the MHIC opened in April 2018, Gabriela serves as a pioneering member of our multi-disciplinary treatment team, which also includes physicians, clinicians, social workers, nurses, and other key roles.
